India day 3
I started walking at 8am in the direction of Deoriatal, a lake not too far from Saari village. On the way I met Akshit and Nikhil, two youngins from a village close to Haridwar. They told me, that they are new in the trekking-game, but plan to hike all the treks india has to offer. Besides college they are also youtube gaming streamers (shoutout to Sparkverse @sp4rk-001) and once they are famous and rich, they promised me to come visit me in Switzerland, so we can do hiking in the Swiss Alps. Once in Deoriatal we sat down in the meadows looking at the lake and exchanging on our lives. Where and how we grew up, what we value, and a lot about hinduism. For them, this was the first time meeting a foreigner. Then we did a photo shooting (I am still waiting for the photos). They are two really sweet guys and I'm looking forward to seeing them again one day. In Deoriatal we had to say goodbye, as they stayed there, and I continued walking in the direction of Chopta. On this walk I've seen various monkeys, freely grazing zebu cattle, a peacock and other colourful birds, butterflies, and other insects. Many plants, especially herbacious plants, growing here in the Himalayas on ~2500m also grow in Switzerland. Some plants also just seemed closely related and very similar to the Swiss plants. I spent the night in my hammock in the forest. Manymany animal noises distracted me from sleeping, but I enjoyed experiencing the concert of the nocturnal animals for this night and the clear night sky above. I have only in the Andes seen so many stars before.
